Getting here by public transport

There are several ways of getting to the Hotel Engstlenalp, depending on the date, season and day of the week. At the start and end of the season, however, the bus and mountain railways do not yet run, or no longer run, even though the hotel is open. You can find the current operating times on the following websites.

Getting here via Meiringen

In Meiringen you have the following options:

  • Zentralbahn to Innertkirchen Grimseltor, and then on with the Engstlenalp Bus to Engstlenalp (by prior booking only, from 4 passengers or more).
  • Taxi from Meiringen or Innertkirchen to Engstlenalp.

Getting here via Engelberg

From Engelberg, the Titlis cable cars will take you to the Engstlensee station. From there, the Hotel Engstlenalp can be reached on foot along the lake in 25 minutes.
