In this stunning region, we are committed to protecting nature. Using alternative energy sources is simply a natural choice for us.

Electricity from solar energy and hydropower

We have installed solar panels across the entire usable surface of the hotel roof. In addition, we use surplus drinking water to generate electricity with a turbine. These two sources cover a large part of our electricity needs.

Heating with wood

During the cold season, we heat with wood from the region. The wood releases its heat through gasification at high temperatures. This method produces fewer pollutants, which is better for the environment.

Wastewater

All wastewater is treated in our custom-built hotel sewage treatment plant before being returned to nature. We use environmentally friendly cleaning and laundry products that are easily biodegradable.

Reducing transport

By treating our own spring water, we’re able to serve beverages unbottled in the restaurant. This allows us to avoid long-distance transport of bottled beverages and empties. We source many products from local suppliers and small businesses, thereby supporting the region and reducing transport distances.
