Lake Engstlen is very popular among anglers. The clear water and unique landscape help you leave everyday stress far behind. On the website of the Fisheries Inspectorate of the Canton of Bern, you will find detailed information about fishing.

Day permits can be obtained daily at the hotel reception from 08:00 AM (cash only!) or directly from the online shop of the Fisheries Inspectorate.

Hotel guests are welcome to store their cleaned and properly packaged fish in our freezer. Please bring your own fishing rods and gear, as we do not sell fishing equipment.

To preserve the natural character and beauty of Lake Engstlen and its surroundings, the area is protected as a nature reserve.
