Alpine Farming and Cheesemaking

Even today, the Engstlen, Gental, and Baumgarten alpine pastures remain important locations for mountain farming. Each year, farmers from the valley drive over 400 head of cattle up to these beautiful alpine meadows.

Within sight of the hotel is the Engstlenalp Show Dairy. Experience up close how aromatic alpine cheese is made. Opening hours: daily from 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM.

Visitors are also warmly welcome on the nearby alpine pastures of Gental and Baumgarten.
